PNG, JPG or WebP?
Which format to pick when you convert an SVG
SVG to PNG is the safe default: lossless, keeps transparency, and opens everywhere. Use it for logos, icons, UI assets and anything with sharp edges.
SVG to JPG makes sense when the target doesn't accept transparency or PNG, like some email tools, forms and older CMSs. Transparent areas get the background color you pick.
SVG to WebP gives the smallest files for the web while keeping transparency. All current browsers can display WebP.
Frequently Asked Questions
Converting SVG to PNG, JPG and WebPHow do I convert SVG to PNG?
Drop your SVG file into the converter above, or paste the SVG code. Pick PNG, choose a size (1x to 4x, or an exact width), and click Download. Several files at once? Use Download all to get a ZIP.
Will the PNG be blurry if I export it large?
No. The SVG is drawn directly at the size you pick, so a 4x export is as sharp as the vector itself. It is never rendered small and stretched up. The only limit is 8192 pixels per side.
Can I convert SVG to JPG or WebP too?
Yes. Choose JPG or WebP as the output format. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a background color (white by default, you can change it). PNG and WebP keep transparency unless you turn it off. WebP export needs Chrome, Edge or Firefox; Safari cannot save WebP.
Why are images or fonts missing in my converted PNG?
Browsers block an SVG from loading other files when it is turned into an image. Linked images, web fonts and external stylesheets are skipped, and the converter warns you when it finds them. Embed those files in the SVG as data URIs, or convert text to outlines in your design tool, then try again.
Are my SVG files uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never sent to a server, so it works for private or unreleased artwork and even offline once the page has loaded.
What size should I export?
Use 1x for the size the SVG was designed at, 2x for sharp results on high-density (Retina) screens, and 3x or 4x for app icons and print previews. If you need an exact size, such as 512 pixels wide for an app store icon, pick Custom width; the height follows the original aspect ratio.
